This exhibition, organized and circulated by the Statewide Exhibitions Program of the Office of Statewide Partnerships Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, was on display at William King Regional Arts Center August 27 through October 10, 1999. Included are 19 ancient Egyptian art objects from the permanent collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. This exhibition illustrates how the beliefs of ancient Egyptians were centered on maintaining balance in the cycles of nature - day and night, flood and drought, life and death.
